Join us for this special one-day pet fair where you and your pooch can howl in delight, sniff out new toys and treats, and learn from a variety of presentations and demonstrations. Just like last year, for one day only, dogs will be allowed to visit inside the Discovery Museum and the adjoining buildings on campus with all the retail and non profit vendors.

First 500 pooches to come through the Discovery Museum get a free treat courtesy of Dogswell!

 

So grab your favorite pooch and have a howling good time!

10am - 3pm Spot Magazine Cover Model Search

Could your dog be the next Spot Magazine cover model? Renown photographer David Childs will be on hand to snap photos of your favorite pooch. All photos will be entered to win a cover on Spot Magazine.

10am - 5pm Wine Garden and Burgerville Nomad

Sip and savor wines from  Kramer Vineyards. Meet the winemakers and their adorable black lab that graces the cover of their labels. Then munch on local favorites from Burgerville's mobel eatery!

11am & 3pm Spot Walks

Get your doggie pedometer and join Hoyt Arboretum's K9 members and Spot Walks members on a guided walk through the park.

 

12pm - 1pm Halloween Fashion Show presented by PetUtopia

Watch all the latest canine fashions come down the catwalk! See which Halloween costume  fits your pooch's personality.

2pm - 3pm Pooch Parade on the Central Plaza

Enter your canine companion in the Pooch Parade where furry contestants will be judged in three categories and could win fabulous prizes for both you and fido!

Day of Registration Only. Registration starts at 11:00am and ends at 1:30pm. All contestants must be set and ready to begin by 1:45pm.

 

* Doggie Palooza Rules *

1. All dogs must be dog-friendly, adult friendly and child friendly.
2. Dogs entered must be currently licensed with proof of Parvo and Rabies vaccinations. You do not need to bring proof with you; if an incident occurs, you must be able to produce proof in a reasonable amount of time.
3. All dogs must be on a 6-foot or shorter leash. Retractable leashes are not allowed.
4. Dog owners/handler must pick up and dispose of their dogs waste.
5. The World Forestry Center reserve the right to evict any dog and its owner/handler from the event.
6. Owners/Handlers will not hold World Forestry Center and/or any parties associated with Doggie Palooza or the Pooch Parade responsible for any injury and/or incidents that may occur during the event.
