From now until August 15, visitors to the World Forestry Center Discovery Museum will have the chance to see the world’s largest and longest seamless blanket woven by Pendleton Woolen Mills.
Measuring 453’ and 7 1/4,” the blanket is approximately one and a half football fields in length and weights 380 pounds. Artistically displayed throughout the Discovery Museum, the blanket makes its appearance near the entrance of the museum and weaves its way around the “forest,” and up to the second floor. Its landing area is in the Special Exhibits Gallery highlighting the current exhibit, Pendleton: Weaving America’s Spirit.
And don't forget to visit our Forest Store so you can have your own Pendleton treasure to take home.
