Throughout Washington Park\, look for special Earth Week signage designed by beloved local cartoonist and public joy creator Mike Bennett\, guiding you to hands-on activities\, conservation moments\, and pop-up experiences that highlight the culture\, diversity\, and wonder of the natural world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nEarth Week at World Forestry Center!\n\n\nApril 19 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Start the week early with our Free Day sponsored by Hampton Lumber. \nApril 19 at 11:30 am: Also happening that day is an author read with Silpa Kona reading her book "A Monster on My Trail." \nApril 22 at 11:30 am: Join us for a special Earth Week Forest Stories \nApril 26 at 11:00 am: This month's Forest Crafts with Rad Creative Space will be paper-making \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipate in a Park-Wide Scavenger Hunt!\nTurn your visit into an adventure with the Earth Week Passport scavenger hunt! \nPrint your passport here or ask for an Earth Week Passport at our admissions desk\, which will also be stamping and accepting completed passports. Collect stamps from all participating venues (Oregon Zoo Entry Plaza\, World Forestry Center Discovery Museum\, Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center\, Portland Japanese Garden Welcome Center\, and Rose Garden Store) to be entered into a special prize pack for your family. DESCRIPTION:Join us once a month and explore your creative nature here at World Forestry Center’s Discovery Museum with our friend at RAD Creative. From Forests in a Bottle to paper snails\, seed shares\, and fairy houses – tap into your creative side and make something memorable. \nThis event is family-friendly\, and crafts are geared toward kids who can independently use scissors\, glue sticks\, and basic school supplies or with parental assistance. All crafts vary in presentation. Adult supervision at all times is required. Craft supplies\, tools\, and guidance are included with museum admission and do not require pre-registration.
