DESCRIPTION:Tickets Coming Soon\nStep into the shadowy edges of the forest and gather for an evening of storytelling rooted in the folklore of American logging camps. “Fearsome creatures” were the legendary\, often absurd creatures imagined by 19th and early 20th-century lumberjacks\, shared around campfires to entertain\, explain the unknown\, and initiate newcomers into life in the woods. \nAt this Forest Pub\, these tales come to life through live storytelling\, evoking the humor\, mystery\, and cultural traditions of logging camp life. Passed down through generations\, these stories reveal how people have made meaning of the forest\, using imagination to navigate isolation\, danger\, and wonder. \nCelebrate the Halloween season for a night of folklore\, storytelling\, and shared experience as we revisit the strange and spirited creatures that once roamed the camps\, and consider what they tell us about our relationship with the forest today.

From Forests in a Bottle to paper snails\, seed shares\, and fairy houses – tap into your creative side and make something memorable. \nThis event is family-friendly\, and crafts are geared toward kids who can independently use scissors\, glue sticks\, and basic school supplies or with parental assistance. All crafts vary in presentation. Adult supervision at all times is required. Craft supplies\, tools\, and guidance are included with museum admission and do not require pre-registration.
