Magness Memorial Tree Farm Open Weekly

[Sherwood, OR] Beginning February 1, World Forestry Center will resume weekly public access Magness Memorial Tree Farm every Monday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, excluding noted holidays.
World Forestry Center has owned and operated the 77-acre forest in Sherwood, OR, since 1977. Donated by Howard and Panzy Magness, the tree farm was initially developed as a demonstration site for woodland owners to showcase forest management and silviculture.
Magness Memorial Tree Farm contains 2.5 miles of hiking trails, sheltered picnic areas, meadows, streams, and forests.
“We are excited to reopen Magness to visitors on a weekly basis beginning in February,” said Allison Gannett, director of communications. “Magness is a place for the community to explore the wonders of our forests through hiking trails and peaceful meadows.”
Magness Memorial Tree Farm will be closed on the following observed Monday holidays in 2025: February 17, May 26, and September 1.
