Entering the second year of the program, Fellows are now working to develop a customized engagement plan for their sector or community based on what they learned about the impacts of wildfire during year one of the program. Their experience and feedback on the program will also help to inform the development of future exhibits and programming at World Forestry Center.
We have partnered with Emily Brew and her team at Perennial, a social impact strategy firm, to facilitate the conversation and provide support to the Fellows as they engage their sectors in wildfire issues. We are honored to support the Fellows in becoming leaders in their fields, working to address the wildfire crisis.
“It is exciting to enter the second year of this program with our Fellows. We are grateful to Emily Brew and the expertise she brings as we gradually move from learning about the impacts of wildfire on our communities to developing action and engagement plans.”

“In May, our Fellows will gather for an in-person meeting, which will include a visit to a community and forest impacted by wildfire. Then, they will begin a work session focused on developing community engagement plans in their sectors.”
