Every second Monday, we bring in dynamic guest speakers to explore how forests touch every part of our lives — from the natural wonders we depend on to the creativity, culture, and cutting-edge solutions they inspire.

Can art and design change the way we understand forest management? Join interdisciplinary designer David Buckley Borden and collaborators for an image-rich conversation exploring creative approaches to environmental storytelling. Featuring art from the current Lookout Landscape exhibition featured at World Forestry Center’s Discovery Museum.
October 12, 2026 AT 7 PM
Step into the shadowy edges of the forest and gather for an evening of storytelling rooted in the folklore of American logging camps. “Fearsome creatures” were the legendary, often absurd creatures imagined by 19th and early 20th-century lumberjacks, shared around campfires to entertain, explain the unknown, and initiate newcomers into life in the woods.
