Earth Force Technologies
Dr. Staneff leads Product and Operations at Earth Force Technologies, a forestry startup providing technology to support project execution and the administration of large-scale forestry projects. Earth Force equips harvesting and mastication machines with operator guidance based on real-time sensing capabilities that support virtual boundaries, bulk prescription measurement, and shortens the feedback loop between execution and approval – helping operators quickly correct mistakes and stakeholders avoid discovering incidents after several months and hundreds of acres are impacted. Machine collected proof of work builds trust across stakeholders and reduces uncertainty for operators by showing the work as it is done reducing the QA burden that often delays approval and invoicing. This has the potential to dramatically change project workflows and makes clear and obvious what opportunities exist to achieve better outcomes through the course of the project.
Geoff has a BSc in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Washington, a PhD in Materials Science from the California Institute of Technology, and 20-years in software development, large scale data systems, and Industrial IoT spread between Microsoft and early stage Greentech startups.
