Forest Pub: Stories of the PNW Told by Tree Rings
May 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

What can the rings of trees tell us? Cutting edge research is revealing that tree rings hold more information than simply a tree’s age. Each ring can teach us something about the past climate, local cultures, ecosystems, and even help reconstruct the history of wildfire. Develop a shared understanding of the ecological and social history of forest ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest with Dr. Andrew Merschel, Co-director of the Tree Ring Lab at Oregon State University.
Forest Pubs are presented by World Forestry Center and McMenamins.
