October 25 @ 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM
oct 25 tour and talk.

Meet with interdisciplinary designer, artist, and educator David Buckley Borden for a guided tour of our featured exhibition, Lookout Landscape. His colorful and immersive installation spotlights pressing environmental issues facing forests through the lens of a wildfire lookout tower.

Learn directly from the artist about his collaborative maker-culture process. Through the reimagining of historic artifacts, Buckley et al use an accessible, often humorous blend of visual art and landscape design to make complex environmental ideas feel approachable. Lookout Landscape encourages shared environmental awareness and a greater cultural appreciation for ecology and forestry and Borden will walk you through key pieces within the exhibition and discuss the symbols, references, and layered meanings throughout the gallery. Learn more about the exhibition here.

*** Arrive early with ample time to find and meet within the art gallery located on the second floor of the Discovery Museum. Free to attend, RSVP required. Space is limited.
