About Us

Mission-Driven Work at the Intersection of People and Forests

We are a mission-driven nonprofit creating meaningful connections between people and the forests that shape our world.

Our Mission & Vision

For over 60 years, World Forestry Center has been a mission-driven nonprofit at the intersection of people and forests. We connect communities and leaders to the knowledge and experiences they need to ensure forests and people thrive together.

Staff & Board

Our work starts with our staff and national board of directors.

Our History

We were established in 1966 as a non-profit educational organization with roots dating back to the 1905 Lewis & Clark Exposition.

Celebrate 60 Years with Us!

In 2026, we are celebrating 60 years at the intersection of forests and society. This year we are continuing to expand our arts initiatives, host thought-provoking exhibitions and programs, and advance meaningful updates to our campus.
