Magness Memorial Tree Farm Update

World Forestry Center has made the decision to prepare the 77-acre Magness Memorial Tree Farm for a sealed bid auction this fall. Donated by Howard and Panzy Magness in 1977, the property has long served as a community resource and demonstration site for sustainable forest management. The land will be sold as a Timber District (TBR) parcel, protecting it from large-scale development while allowing uses such as education, youth camps, and recreation.

This step will help WFC focus on its core mission while ensuring the property remains in private stewardship.
